I love Mustangs, and a '02 Mustang GT convertible is our family car. The day the Ford GT is available as a convertible, Ford has my business. I disposed of my '04 Z06 Vette because it's not a 'vert. 2 years and 2900 miles in the Vette. 3200 miles in 5 months in my '06 Viper roadster! It's here...
What is HP? It probably still won't have the torque.
My Z06 vette once gave me a citation due to lack of torque and/or the presence of the geek gizmos. I will probably never go back to vette, unless they fix the serious lack of torque at low RPMs... Why would I want a vette when I have a Viper...
Re: Paint job- Viper vs Vette
I don't know... I have a piece of black dirt baked in the red paint of the passenger side sill (it's like a grain of sand - it sticks out and you can feel it, yet it is under the paint -- probably only under the clear coat), and a very mysterious small chip on top...
The ACCELERATION of course! Sometimes I could use even more than what the Viper offers. Speeding? Of course, but never more than 10% or 5 mph! Maybe one day I get to move to Germany and live on the Autobahn <sigh!> The law abiding Finn in me prevents me from speeding. The only ticket I got...
I owned a 2004 Z06 for 2 years. I put 2600 miles on it.
I have owned my 2006 SRT-10 for 2 months. I have already put 1400 miles on it.
As somebody else said: The vette is a "woman's car" or if a man owns it, it's probably a garage queen. At least that's the purpose the vette had in my...
Yup. That's the one I got too. You can usually get them shipped for $15-$25 on eBay. No need to pay $60 for two connectors and a 10 cent resistor...

If you bought it new, you'll get the info in the mail in a few weeks. Don't worry.

Hmmm... Is there a difference between the SRT coupe and roadster? My ViperTech attached the skip shift eliminator in less than a minute on my '06 SRT roadster! Plug-n-play. No need to remove anything. (The car was up on a lift, so this sure made things a lot easier).

$15 for 4 fasteners that don't even come in black or chrome...
They really should come standard with the frame and have a finish that matches.
FWIW, for those that need a security bit: Do a search for "security bit set" on eBay. You can find 100pcs sets for $7.99 that contains...
Of course you are correct. The numbers say it all. The Pirelli is 355 millimeters and the Michelin is 345 millimeters. There is a 10 millimeter difference (355mm-345mm=10mm). In inches this equals 10/25.4 = 0.39 inches.
The Pirelli is only 0.39 inches wider.
This is IMHO something any car...
Having only half an engine would not be cool ;)
(Paraphrasing on people saying "OS/2 is half an operating system". Hemi means half).
On the other hand, it might be fun. Then I can say I drive a car with half an engine and use half an operating system for my daily tasks... :D

Hmmm... Interesting... I always thought it was frustrating in my 04 Z06. Now in the '06 Viper, I find it much less of an annoyance. I think the difference might be that the Viper skip shift delay is shorter. And to boot, the indicator on the Viper is much better...

1. Keep the full convertible
2. Improve isolation of engine heat
3. Power top option for the convertible top
4. Cruise control - but only if implemented well (e.g. buttons on steering wheel like Mustang). We don't want it on a stick Chevy Corvette style. That is useless IMHO.
5. Navigation with...
The "Suede" is actually not real suede. It's a synthetic.
303 Fabric Cleaner and 303 Fabric Protectant work great. 303 Aerospace Protectant is great for the dash and the rest of the interior. http://www.303products.com/
Raggtopp works great for the top. You'll want the FABRIC cleaner and...
Hmm, it appers that the "Euro" SRT's are made differently depending on what European country it ships to.
For instance, here's a brand new '06 roadster for sale by a Finnish dealer (Northern Europe). According to the description it has "side pipes", and indeed the images tell the same...
Yes, Lexol is great on leather - and inexpensive. It's probably one of the best choices for cars that have big leather areas, like a back seat. I've been using it in my Mustang for years. However, I would not put Lexol on the suede-like fabric in the Viper. It does not seem right...

Stiff suspension... That's interesting. I found that my new '06 roadster has just about the same stiffness compared to my '04 Z06. If I had to say that one is stiffer than the other, I would say that the Z06 is stiffer. (OTOH, Chevy used different shocks in the '04, so that probably explains...
