    I am far from confused. The statement posed is the car doesn't run cooler with a lower stat and I say it does (under certain conditions). In the statement, load wasn't mentioned, I mentioned it. No confusion here.

    Except for me, Running a 180 in my 96 and the car ABSOLUTLY runs cooler. Albeit, not when you are driving spirited. But, when you are just cruising on the highway and back roads, it most definitely runs cooler, my car at those times runs at 180 deg. Don't make me prove it.

    My first thought was Plugged Cat. Did the car run normal before bringing it there? Did they re-use O2's?

    Go for the Color you want, if its a car that Doesn't have ABS, I personally wouldn't care because I don't drive my car in inclimate weather and that's where you "may" need it. As said, Tires are the most important thing on these cars.

    I go to Walmart as well. they sell so many batteries that chances are the one you will get is a month or 2 old. As others have said, Johnson Control makes most batteries with different stickers.
