Passenger door randomly comes open
This is the R14 recall. What you described happened to many, many Vipers. Some happened at highway speed. Note: A dealership recently told an owner that the R14 kits were no longer available. Question about brakes
The "2007 Viper" has come up in more than one location. As I recall, this designation has generally been used by a few people discussing EU vehicles. If I am on the right track here, that may mean the car would be designated by the year of registration by the MOT, DOT, etc. versus by the 10...- Steve-Indy

Tom's 40mm rear caliper upgrade
As I recall, Tom's original 40mm kits used a sleeve on the 36mm piston to bring it up to 40mm. For those interested, Tom had full explanations of both form and function of his modification on this site...along with some stopping data comparisons. Search "40mm" posts by " Tom F&L, GoR".- Steve-Indy

Gen 2 vs. Gen 5 GTS
I will only add that YOU can maintain your own Viper...very easy to do on a Gen II, and not bad on a Gen V once you remove a more extensive belly pan.- Steve-Indy

That will work just fine...and you can still use your "cross" bracket. My local interstate store is great. Battery source for 2016 ACR Extreme
Battery group size for Gen V ACR and ACR-X was V4. Last time I checked, you could get one at MB dealership. Not sure of this, but MB may use these as starter battery only noting there is also a bigger battery in car to run everything else. T5 came in GTS, SRT, T/A, and GT...and will fit into...- Steve-Indy
