    MD New Viper Owner

Congrats man, that will be a whole lotta car. I'm a big fan of the C6 Z06 as well. If the Viper didn't have my heart, I'd probably have one of those. Who knows, maybe someday one will find it's way into the collection. I've been with Hagerty under their agreed value plan. So far insuring the car...

Need tire help! And how bad are old tires….

Sounds like the plan is to deal with the tires after the trip. Like others have pointed out, drive her like a normal car and enjoy the trip. If overall condition doesn't throw any red flags and tire pressure is good, then turn your focus to other parts of your trip. Never hurts to take a can of...

Need tire help! And how bad are old tires….

Like 4-5 hrs of driving? If the tires aren't dry rotted, and are in generally good condition they should be fine. ***Understand that you're driving on bricks, many many Vipers wrecked when the owner F-ed around and found out on old tires. ALL of their capabilities will be greatly diminished...

    Vibration Help

https://www.viperclub.org/vca/threads/slight-driveline-vibration-after-trans-swap.679157/ Couldn't hurt to start here. GTS Dean was chasing down some vibrations as well. Some good drive train vibration info that thread.

Honest feedback on this wing choice

Good observation, I had something in my head I couldn't place. It looks like a time attack car wing.

Want to buy 1999 to 2002 Viper

Bring A Trailer shows a good recent history of what the market is doing right now. Plenty of low mile clean cars have been passing through there. Probably not a bad time to buy since the market has softened a bit.

Honest feedback on this wing choice

Doesn't do much for me either. The shape looks out of place, mismatched to the rest of the car. Big wings on Vipers have always been a complete functional aero package or nothing for me, so my opinion has some built in bias.

    Texas Emissions test

I'm in WA state, if they did away with it here...what does that tell ya. Cars have met and far exceeded emissions requirements for a very long time.

    Texas Emissions test

Luckily I live in a state that did away with emissions testing, because not enough vehicles fail to justify the cost of the program. That being said, there are a few tricks I used to do to ensure a best result for my vehicles. #1 Oil change, #2 Plugs/wires, #3 Fresh/clean airfilter, #4 Proper...

    Lower Gen 2

Most probably do it, because it looks better with less wheel gap in the fender. Pros: Better looks, lower center of gravity for more stable cornering, better aerodynamic performance. Cons: Cost involved with correct shocks/springs, cost involved with proper alignment, worse clearance for...

Viper Alum V10 New bare block

Yes, pics are definitely welcome. One of these days I'll get around to building one. Probably LS based, but you never know, a V10 could be in the cards.

    GPS Tracking Tags?

One of our brothers was lucky enough to get his car back. It started up a side discussion about keeping tabs on our vehicles, so I figured I'd open it up in it's own discussion. Anyone who uses GPS tags or some other form of tracker for your car, feel free to bring the rest of us up to speed on...

    STOLEN!!!

Something I'll have to do some research on. I've looked into them for my luggage while I travel. I know they have gotten very popular, but I don't know all of the ins and outs about vehicle use, i.e. I know apps can detect them, but how hard are they to jam? Anyone more knowledgeable than myself...

    STOLEN!!!

Glad to hear the good news. Definitely has me thinking about what I can do differently, like a tracking tag as others have mentioned.

    Check out this Viper!

Been following this build. Nothing I'd ever do to a Viper, but I dig the guys builds and humor.

Guidance on how to sell my Viper

Everyone will have differing opinions on what is acceptable for them, I can only speak for myself. I won't let anyone drive the car until I have proper assurance that they have payment and are serious about buying the car. Even then, I'm in the passenger seat and we drive where and how I say...

What special Viper do i have? Strange GTS Combination

Europe spec put a restriction in the airbox and exhaust if memory serves me right. I believe the ecu was also tuned differently. Europe tends to be a little more restrictive than the U.S. for emissions, noise, and probably a few other things.

Been a while, figured I'd bump this and see if there were any new thoughts on who these throttle bodies were manufactured by.
