Again, did you do the tests that Dan suggests?
Dan, question, if you turn the Ignition ON (don't start) and the Check Engine light doesn't come on, could that also be an indication the Computer OR voltage to the computer is bad??
You will have to use an Ohm Meter to test the Coil. Another way is to apply 12 volts to see if it clicks.. You will have to get the pinout to determine the 12 volt side and the relay side.
You can reinstall and you could have someone cycle the key and you can put your hand on it to feel the...
Ya the nice thing about it is you can fill up the funnel pretty high and because of this, the fluid level is higher than the block etc.. and no need for Burping. Just kick back and let it do its thing, cap it off when done, no spillage.
Dan,
I see allot of people heeding warnings about the "Old Style" Battery / Boost chargers and wanted your thoughts on the C-Tek etc. Over the Winter months, I put one on my Gen II while it hibernates and set the C-Tek to the Winter setting.
Do you suggest using it OR don't take a chance with...
I agree.. I run WIX XP, if your concerned about the bypass valve rate, go with the
MOBIL M1204A Extended Performance (have run this as well and its $8.14 at Rock Auto), its 14 psi which is roughly the same as the Viper Filter.
The Vents are Vacuum Operated and does go to the right bank back rear (at least on a Gen II) How far is it chewed up? Can you splice another Vacuum line onto the chewed up one so you dont have to go into the dash?
So my 96 had issues as well. I always have problems with the switch. I replaced it and it was fine for a year or 2 and then the new one starts acting up. I would look at the switch first and then go to the door wiring.
Gen 1 is definitely more raw, Gen 2 is more refined. If you want to get a GTS, go for a higher mileage one.
It all comes down to wanting a convertible or a Hard Top. The choice was very clear to me when I bought my car.
Huh, find that hard to believe given the Gen 2 has 50 more Ponies. May feel like the Gen 1 has more power but it doesn't.
Gen 2 is much more refined and its lighter.
If you want a GTS, its generally more money though,
