It's tire based for sure. Went out to play today and got a 1.1 sec to 60 mph today after a small burnout. Then tried a quarter mile and after the car bogged off the line it got-up and got a 12.2 sec at 124
Way to go Todd ! Glad you used the Corsas and had as much fun as I did. Very nice driving there.
Did you take a pic of the G meeter ? I'm curious to compare with mine as I got a peak of 1.48 left and 1.25 right, but dont think I pushed near the limits of the car with ESC full on.
Mine is showing 2.5 sec, only because I missed launch control and got lots of wheel spin. Stopped the run at about 60 ft when it started to go sideways, so it's definitly wheel speed and not real speed.
Nice sound ! What happens to the moderate Drone that happens in the stock GTS between 2,000 and 2,400 rpm when cruising with windows closed ?
Is it still present, or have you got rid of it completly ?
Thanks for the tip about the doors. Have fun Friday, we'll be waiting for your review.
Oh, for that Promo, why wait till Monday ? Aint McDonalds open 7/7 ?
Your Boss just called and said he wanted to see you on Friday to discuss that big Promo ! Haha ! Enjoy your day to the fullest !
BTW, I got the clear bra installed today with Expel Ultra Ultimate on front bumper, 1/3 hood, lights, mirrors, rocker panels and behind rear wheels. Got to protect...
After street driving and Tracking my new Gen 5 for 3 weeks now, all I can say is Mr. Former345... yor review is spot on, and right to the point.
I also had a Gen4 for 4 years, raw fun but scary at times, and have been driving a CTS-V as a DD for 2 years now, good example of a competent but a bit...
The 95% statistic applies to Non-Pro drivers like you and me who track with slicks, dont do the Hoosiers untill you're a Pro, Corsas are fine.
Only thing different I would try next time is to go in Sport mode to see the difference in behavior. Our track insurance does not cover the cars or...
Here's the thread by Mark J on how to remove the 1" stopper

Hey Todd
To answer a few questions, Yes I did like the Corsas and never felt them overworked or anything wrong. I would definitly use those for the track as that's where they shine.
This was our Club's last track day, so I'm already anxious to go back next Spring.
The CTS-V is a very easy car...
WOW ! Great review Nick !
Exactly in line with my feelings, and other OWNERS about how good of a sportscar this beast really is.
Two comments :
-The seating height can be fixed in less than 2 minutes just by removing the two 1" spacers from under the seat track, and vision and comfort becomes a...
Yes, mine are set at 31 F, 30 R when cold.
Yesterday at the track I would end each session at around 36 F 35 R and grip was really fine.
Dont know yet what's best for Street or Track ?
Wait till you see the really good drivers starting to post their G meeters pics. I was taking it easy and felt I was far from reaching the car's limits
