I was there. The Woodhouse and DR Racing Teams had 4 Viper Competion Coupes entered in the race. Kuno Wittmer in the #13 Woodhouse Viper won the pole position and set a new track time record during his qualification run. It was a tight field of cars with 1 sec separarting the top 8 cars for the...
Will a visit to the Bonneville Salt Flats be one of the cruise destinations? I think that it would be fantastic to visit the spot where all of the speed records have been set. The Stryker Twin Turbo Viper hit 247mph in 2001.
One of the companies had a Yellow Gen II RT/10 on their billboard and Jeff Courtney's Speed GT Comp Coupe was on display. It really was a big pony car show.

Per Jay Leon; "Gen 1 is the greatest". All Vipers are fantastic but nothing can match the excellent experience that you get while driving in an open RT/10 on a great road. My early '93 Viper has been regenerated with PS2's and is now better then it ever was. It is 16 years old and still has a...
Les Quam,
I have talked with Charlie Brown about the problem. He said that the wrong rings (hardness) were used and prevented the rings from properly seating in the block. He said that this would result in high oil consumption. I don't know if this problem was present on just the early 1992's...
I'm the IVR Registrar for the 1992 & 1993 Vipers. I am also the original owner of a 1992 & 1993 Viper. I still have both cars and have made a hobby out of tracking down as much information that I can find on these great early Vipers.
Chrysler had promissed that the production Viper would go...
There are several 1992 Viper owners that participate in this forum. I have been interested in the 1992 & 1993 Vipers for awhile and have been working on putting a story together about these great, "original Vipers". I believe that all 1992 & 1993 Vipers started out in sequence when the VIN #'s...
Great event BUT, DO NOT SPEED IN CANADA!
They do not allow radar detectors and they will confiscate your Viper, on the spot if you are caught going too fast. A group of Corvette guys from the States were caught and LOST their cars. They launched an expensive legal battle to get them back but...
Congratulations!
Gen 1's are the greatest! I have had mine since '92 & '93 and have not lost one spark of enthusium. Hopefully, you will get together with your local club members and will be able to enjoy your obsession with other Viper folks. Best wishes!
Ginger & Denny, how can this be happening?
You two are the greatest! We met for the first time at VOI-X. After the Illinois VCA Club rejected me, you guys opened up your hearts & club to me. You immediately adopted me & I became a member of your PA & WV VCA Club. Dinner seat, club shirt and...
The #40 Viper is a 1992 & the #41 Viper is a 1993. They both participated in the 1994 LeMans Race. I think that the #41 Viper DNF and the #40 Viper finished the race. The #40 Viper was sold to another team who then raced it in the 1996 Daytona Rolex 24 Race. It was there with the first Canaska...
Gen 1 all the way with PS - 2's. You would be surprised at the huge improvement that the PS-2's can make on the Gen 1 or any sports car. Gen 2's are way over rated.

I live around Green Bay, WI and plan to drive to Detroit thru the UP. Is anyone in NE Wisconsin, the UP or along the way, interested in driving together?

The SEMA Show was a MAJOR disapointment for any Viper lover. Chrysler only had a green '08 convert. The main MOPAR display area had one Viper motor on a stand. There were no Viper performance upgrades displayed anywhere. The Chrysler/MOPAR displays were overwhelmed with Challengers & a Cuda...
Great suggestion which I fully support but don't look for any help from Chrysler, Dodge or our VCA leadership. They all are afraid of disclosing any "official" detailed facts, parts or running changes on the Viper out of fear of being sued. I wish that we could do it but you will find yourself...
Jeff, sorry to here about your accident. Thank God that you are OK. You should have been driving a big white Buick. They have gone "Air borne in Detroit" without any damage!
I hope that you can get your CAAR repaired.

This is a major find. There were two 1992 Vipers in the 1994 LeMans Race. The other orange Rent A Car is in Switzerland. Please PM me with any additional information or pictures of the car.

Congratulations to everyone in our Viper World!
This year marks the 15th Anniversary of the launch of our GREAT 1992 Vipers.
On Tuesday, 5/26/92 the first shipment of 12 Vipers was made from the New Mack Ave. Viper Assembly Plant to dealers in Los Angeles, CA. This would likely have been two...
I have no fear driving my great '93 Viper! It has taken GM ~12 years to build the C-6 and finally approach the performance level of our Gen I Vipers.
The stock C-6 that I drove last summer was weak.
The ZO6 is another story. I am happy that is here.
Maybe it will wake up DC?
