I have never noticed an issue with using the kill switch in my '96 or '00.
For pre-99 cars (without the factory alarm bypass), it is a great thing to have if your alarm starts acting up or your key fob batteries die.
Speaking of youtube Viper builds. The Throttl Hellcat swapped RT/10 is badass, got to check out the car and they made a great drag car out of it. Apparently the engine swap was quite simple too, basically bolted in.
I run Antigravity: drops 20lbs+ off the car; easier to handle during installation because of the weight (this doesn't matter if you have someone else installing); & auto jumpstart feature is handy.
1. & 2. Looks and sounds normal.
3. Unusual. Give it a stern push (you can literally slam the 2-3 shift).
4. Very odd - check trans mount. If mount is okay, try shifting with palm facing 5/6 to avoid money shift (think E36M cars if you've ever driven one).
5. You likely have a multi-disc...
Zero issues having a kill switch an ECU relearn. Aside from not having to deal with dead batteries while the car sits for long periods, it is a great way for pre-99 cars to do a quick reset when the remote acts up.
Oddly, I do not remember what I paid. But $100 seems about right. If you have not replaced the fan relays, replace both first. Should be less. Keep OG relays in case yours were good as they always seem to fail over time with heat.
IIRC it is on the driver side head at the front of the motor. I don't recall if the intake had to be removed or not, but it was a surprisingly quick job.
BC does not offer a DS damper for the Viper, only BR. On a different application I was not a big fan of DS for street use and swapped it back to BR. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to message me. I have put 50k miles on my personal Vipes with BC, assisted BC in the development of the...
At a minimum.
Drain reservoir with a syringe. Wipe down. Fill with new fluid (DOT 5.1). Put lid on. Pump the clutch 10 times.
Repeat.
Repeat.
Drive the car.

This should get as much clean fluid in the system without bleeding as possible.
I have run them on my current and last Vipers, stock cream puff, stock forged & heads/cam forged, highly recommend. Car is much more responsive and runs through the powerband quicker because it drops weight by 19lbs. Shoot me a message for more info.
I agree with Mike, go with '98+ tubular manifolds or M&M headers into the stock exhaust. Both will drop weight and M&M will make actual power gains.
Ticon/Vibrant mufflers that fit in the side sills do nothing.
Get a billet pump impeller/rebuild.
While you're in there:
power steering pulley & mount
check idler pulley resistance/free spin
billet steering rack bushings
mishimoto hoses
belt
Not an awful time to go with silicone heater hoses since there is no fluid in the system. If you're debating a...
