Don't you think 2 years is long enough to beat this horse ?
It's not all that was expected, but it's more than ever before.
It was priced too high to start, but it now can be had for 2010 prices.
They haven't built an ACR , but you can get a T/A that will match one or better.
They didn't...
Bob I knew you wouldn't look back trading in that old supercharged Gen III. lol. I don't have a Viper so I can't rejoin. The other thread is now gone along with a couple of others that is why I am responding here. Looks like I should just take the hint and move on.
I didn't like seeing former owners being called Enthusiasts just because they no longer owned cars and I don't like it now that I am one. It would not hurt to show a little courtesy to prior members who no longer own a Viper by allowing them a "prior owner" moniker. Information, complaints and...
Personally I would go with the 2008-2009 transmission instead of the gear change for a better launch and all around daily use. I like the overdrive 6th gear in the 2008-2009 for highway cruising with less rpms. Others may opt for the 2010 transmission which improves first gear over the 2013-14...
Atlanta Nov 16th, Houston Nov 20th, Dallas/Fort Worth Nov 22nd, Phoenix Dec 6th, San Diego Dec 9th, Los Angeles Dec 12th and San Jose Dec 14th. This is a driving event to experience the car on the road not any type of racing or autocross.
For the 1-3pm session 4-5 people for 8 Vipers. They were surprised that the letters were so late getting out and asked that I let SRT know. Did you get one Bob? It's one page titled SRT All Access with stops in 9 cities.
Went to an invitation only SRT Viper Driving experience today in West Palm Beach. Turn out was low as this was the first one on their list of stops and my invitation arrived today. I only found out about it because a friend got his invite last Tuesday. So a lot of potential buyers are going to...
I bought my first Viper in my 30's, 3 in my 40's and 2 in my 50's. So you noobies missed out. All brand new virgins for me and used up girlfriends for you. lol.
Nine Ball, don't give up. Keep those positive posts coming. You are an owner and you have kept me from giving up on the Gen V. I have said before, owners will sell this car not magazines, dealers or SRT. All the posts in this thread have made me realize why I don't own one yet. They have also...
I bought my first Viper before there was a club. I don't need a club but it is nice. I would have bought one sooner but M/T, Road and Track, etc. really hated Vipers and I believed them. So anything they say today means nothing to me. Dodge did however listen to what we wanted, understood what...
There is no Viper or car made that I love more than the GEN V Viper. I won't be buying one though. I really don't know what it would take for me to get one. I am afraid of the market, disappointed in how SRT treated me, unhappy that I can't modify it and really don't want to spend over 100K for...
If the rear gears have been changed. You may have a Unitrax speed calibrator that has or is going bad. I don't remember if the tach is affected but the speedo will bounce up and down and read all kinds of speeds.
The GEN V Is getting whipped by the MP4. Brooks is the same driver of both cars. On the same day and the same track. The Viper is 5 car lengths behind (100') and is being left behind by at least 5mph. This would mean that I can forgive the beat down in the quarter mile due to lighter weight...
