THE NEW Z06 IS FASTER THAN THE VIPER

Well, I finally made it to the end of this thread. To all the worriers all I can offer is this. Loosen your belts and take a peek down. See! they are still there. The new ZO-6 has not emasculated you. Now go out and take your Viper for a nice ride. You'll feel much better.

    SE Zone Rendezvous

Just returned home (for one night) from the gathering at Road Atlanta. I'm packing to leave on a previously arranged motorcycle trip to the NC mountains early tomorrow, but I wanted to write a quick note thanking Joseph and Wendy Dell, Kim Vogt, Gary Lashinsky, and the many unnamed others that...

    oil change

It's the 0-40W now recommended for 03/04 cars also? (no supercharger) I can't think of any disadvantage, but I would like to know if anyone has the "official" answer from Dodge. Thanks!

New to the Forum, just want to say hallo to everyone.

Vladi, Welcome to the Forum!. My sister lives in Villars le Grand and I usually visit every year. Driving a Corvette or a Viper on some of those narrow country roads must be quite a challenge. Wishing you an early Spring! John.

Satisfaction level with your SRT 10

A solid 5. I have had no issues, the car has been perfect, and has met or exceeded my expectations. Tony, maybe you should have bought your SRT from a reputable dealer.

A Radar Detector Would Have Been Cheaper - Recommendations?

I've been using them for a long time. When you eventually need to upgrade you'll receive a new detector. The situational awareness provided by the arrows is unmatched by the competition. They are a little more prone to "false" alarms, partly due to their sensitivity, but there are various...

    05 Viper with a Paxton S.C.

Thanks Paul. I had the 3.55 gears done after reading your detailed review of them. Now I am waiting to see how the Roe compares to the Paxton. I will probably do one or the other this spring and I was wondering how you were coping with the added power and the 3.55 gears. I know of others, like...

My diff is quite loose, is it normal?

Don't you hate all that oil underneath the car and the blue smoke? ----------------------------------------------------------- As we say down South...HUH? :p

My diff is quite loose, is it normal?

Alice, I moved to SC (by way of California) in 96. But I lived on Lake Lanier (Gainesville) in the late 70s. I seem to vaguely remember those roaming dinosaurs back when. Anyway, if you can't fix the clunk, just remove the rear catalyst. You will not be able to hear it anymore. ;)

My diff is quite loose, is it normal?

Madman, I agree with Final GTS, have it checked. Alice, I have the Unitrax 3.55 gears on my car. I've put over 4000 miles, including track time at VIR and, if anything, they are quieter than stock. If yours are "clunking" is more than likely due to not been set up properly.

    CORSA crossover type experience?

You do get some moderate drone, only noticeable with the top up, if you do a rear cat delete, as I did. It also makes it louder, but it runs much better.

Re: How strong is the bottom end and pistons of the Gen 3 \'05 for BOOST SnakeEye, Are you happy with your 3.55 gears and the supercharger?. And, if so, which tires are you using? Pondering my options in order to keep those pesky Ford GT's in their proper place.

so if the SRT-10 is a better car...

Y2K, what RavenFan just said! Each time I was ready to chime in on this tread, you had already hit the nail on the head. We can only hope that DC reads and seriously considers your posts. I waited until the last week in Feb. 04 to receive my car, which was a sold order at my dealer (Ringgold...
