    Gen 2 Tires

Yes, original wheels. They are 18". Are you talking about Michelin Pilot PS2's? Thanks for the feedback.

    Gen 2 Tires

Just about time to change my 12 year old original tires. Only 8k miles but getting a bit hard. I really like Michelins, but what are you all changing to? Don't track the car at all, but I do want good grip. Opinions?

    Gen V & Challenger Hellcat

Good comments from all. Please don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the Hellcat, just that HP numbers mean a lot to many. I know the Gen V will run circles around the Hellcat and many others. It just comes down to perception and how much more buyers will pay for roughly the same power, but more...

    Gen V & Challenger Hellcat

So it appears to be official that the 2015 SRT Challenger Hellcat will have 600 HP+. What does everyone make of this? I almost expect the "refresh" for Viper to have to include a power increase now. I know they are completely different cars, but HP is a major factor regardless. I cannot imagine...

    Gen V Seat Wear?

We all know that the new seats look much better than previous generations, but how have they been wearing for everyone? Any photos from those with some miles on their Gen V's? Just curious, thanks!

    Survey - '02 RT/10 or '13 SRT?

Thanks for the thoughts. There is something special about the Gen II.

    Survey - '02 RT/10 or '13 SRT?

I have driven a Gen V, but only for 5 mins or so and nowhere over about 3,500 RPM. Gave a good taste, but it was almost so refined, I don't know. There is an attraction to the hot cabin, rumble, etc. of my '02 for me. Pedal location on the Gen V is much better vs. all the way to the left. I...

    Survey - '02 RT/10 or '13 SRT?

Thanks all for the input. My upgrade cost may have been conservative, but my '02 is immaculate and has only 7k miles. Not sure how I'd equip the SRT, so pricing may differ there too. I do enjoy the open air, but when the top is on the RT, it is a bit noisy as most are. Thinking of a change to a...

    Survey - '02 RT/10 or '13 SRT?

I know that opinions will vary, but I'm considering selling my '02 RT/10 and getting a '13 SRT. What do you think about pros and cons? I haven't won the lottery, so money is a major consideration. This will be a $40-$50k upgrade. Worth it? Input appreciated. Thanks!

Gen 2 Hard Top Latch Drawings?

I think I have answered my own question. The spring fits into a hole in the top of the moving latch arm. It locks into one of two detents on the fixed portion when the movable portion is placed into one of those two positions. A couple of new springs and an adjustment should have me taken care...

Gen 2 Hard Top Latch Drawings?

Hi, So I had one of those exciting moments, driving down the highway when my right front top latch decided it didn't want to cooperate any longer. Thankfully, my wife was in the passenger seat and grabbed the top to hold it down. We were close to home, so everything was fine...

    Gen II Or Gen IV?

Thanks for the replies. Please keep them coming. Need to win the lottery so I can have both! Matt

    Gen II Or Gen IV?

So I'm thinking about selling my '02 RT/10 and upgrading to a Gen IV ACR. I have driven a late model ACR and really liked it, but I don't know that I could part with the "rudeness" of my Gen II. It is a bit louder, seems to rumble more and just is a little more brutal in my opinion. I really...

    Gen V Wheel Time?

Unfortunately so. Guess I was just hoping that SRT might put something on that current owners or others that were interested could pay to attend to get some time with the new generation. Likely wishful thinking!

    Gen V Wheel Time?

For those of us that weren't able to go to the last VOI, does anyone know if SRT or anyone else is offering any opportunities to drive the Gen V? I don't know if any of the driving schools will them or not (evidently Petty Racing instructors were part of the SRT Dealers orientation), but I...

St. Louis Auto Show January 24th - 27th

I was there today and saw it (white GTS). Looked good, but other colors look a little better on the Gen V IMO. Was an exec's car. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures.

Evap pump trouble code 2000 GTS

I had the same on my '02 RT/10. Replaced the solonoid and it was fixed. Just put a long collared glove on to avoid fiberglass cuts reaching through that access hole in the core support. I suggest taking the LF tire off for access. Matt

First time rear differential flush swap ... bolt stuck , thread lock from factory?---

Re: First time rear differential flush swap ... bolt stuck , thread lock from factory Hey alwayscode - I know of some local techs I can turn you onto and I'd be happy to help too going forward. Mid Rivers just doesn't see many Vipers. Around here, I think I'd only trust Royal Gate, but I just...

Another Crank Pulley / Harmonic Balancer Slip Instance

The one I took out looked original and the one I replaced it with was obviously OE. Each measured the same. I am just a little suspicious of the threads in the crank as I did cut some new ones at the back when I was cleaning them up before the new installation. Matt

Another Crank Pulley / Harmonic Balancer Slip Instance

I have yet to have a chance to run / test it, but I installed a new bolt, new OEM balancer, new front seal and pinned the balancer using the Roe kit. It was interesting to find, but when I was cleaning out the threads in the crank, I found that the factory didn't run the tap all the way in and...

Another Crank Pulley / Harmonic Balancer Slip Instance

At least getting the balancer pinned / keyed is very important given the issues I have had with a naturally aspirated car. Many others have as well. My previous questions still stand for everyone...thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

Another Crank Pulley / Harmonic Balancer Slip Instance

Thanks all for the input. I don't like the looks of my bolt threads, so I will be replacing it. Again, the threads inside the crank look a little worn, but generally OK. A new bolt and locktite will be in order. The outside surface of the crank is a little scarred from the balancer spinning on...

Another Crank Pulley / Harmonic Balancer Slip Instance

Got it apart today. Once I fully removed the center bolt, the balancer came right off, no puller required. I was certainly close to losing it altogether. The end of the crank and threads within seem fine. However, the bolt threads seem a little thin from vibrating as the bolt loosened. Anyone...
