    (PICS) M&M Header Install (PICS)

And I can't even see my own post now. As I said, knowledge is an Owner Thing, NOT a member thing. You run your system how ever you see fit.

    (PICS) M&M Header Install (PICS)

Thank you, I wrote that. I'm glad it was of assistance. It's unfortunate that VCA decided to make this information "members only". Knowledge isn't a member thing, it's a Viper Owner thing. I believe that is wrong. And congrats on the headers, you will love them. --FQB

    Gen 4 tuning... Coming soon

Doesn't the BCM run the windows / doors / lighting ? The dash instruments are on the data bus yes, but that's about it besides the radio.

Throttle Body upgrade - X-Metal vs BBK

Actually lost HP when I tried the x-metal. BBK didn't do a lot in the HP dept, maybe 3hp but it was very smooth and idled properly. Put a fastman on my SRT10 truck and got the same results as a BBK.

Throttle Body upgrade - X-Metal vs BBK

The FastMan TB's are the best bang for the buck. Dan's work is second to none.

    Heads up: Possible Scam

Guaranteed a scam. I bet the 1st check bounces as well and you've lost the 3k. always, always get cash. I've seen plenty of these with every car I've sold on the internet. Fake bank drafts are a big issue. Make sure you write a bill of sale that specifies that any payment must CLEAR prior...

mopar pcm vs cat sim for dd no cats?

NO!!!!!!!!!!! on a GenIII you only need 2 simms! The front O2's are to manage the mixture for running the engine.

mopar pcm vs cat sim for dd no cats?

Assuming your car is not a GenIV you need only 2 simms, the ones that would go behind the cats, one on each side. You NEED the front O2's to run the engine. If your car is a GenIV the only choice you have at this time is the MOPAR PCM. Non-foulers do not work 100% of the time, simms do. In...

Dealing with insurance comprehensive question (new info) sorry so long :(

I hope you filed a police report regardless of whether or not the PD saw the twerp. I would have insisted on that. The cops don't see accidents [most times] but they file reports, know what I mean? I think this turd just didn't want to do the paper work -- which is typical. Get a complaint...

MOPAR ECU did not dyno well, lost 12wtq/gain 5whp - Graph inside

You guys are missing a couple big points here. (1) day to different day same dyno the runs may differ +- 10hp easy even if you trailer your car both times. Maybe even more. (2) the mopar perf ecu fixes a number of issues like CELs with headers and stuff. This one regardless of the gains...

    800HP V10 crate engine, 650HP bolt-on kit for Gen III's, announced today

You know that's interesting that you bring that up, I was thinking the same thing. One thing that kind of shocked me was Chad Kanuas [ sp? Jimmy Johnson's crew chief ] was saying on NASCAR Performance last weekend that they felt the mileage would not be much different and then the conversation...

    800HP V10 crate engine, 650HP bolt-on kit for Gen III's, announced today

Yep cup cars are running e-85 next year with the fuel injection and in the fuel injection tests this year too. About the same as MS109 only about 1/2 the cost. Cup car engines run around 14:1 compression ratios.

11 Sec NA Stock Ram Srt10 with Bolt Ons and Weight Reduction Video

Ya I saw the title. And if you believe everything you read or a racer tells you then .. well ... you're deluded. Watch pass-time sometime and you'll hear more BS than you ever believed possible. In this respect all racers are pretty much the same.

11 Sec NA Stock Ram Srt10 with Bolt Ons and Weight Reduction Video

Looks like the intake, a BBK TB, headers, some serious rear suspension work, notice the plexi-glass cover over the front. They obviously put this thing on a serious diet and it's got some low gears. Great times, pretty consistent 11.80's with a couple bad runs low 12's. The guy for the most...

    O2 Simulators?

Assuming it's *not* a GenIV you can get O2 simms from thefastman.com ... If it's a GenIV you'll need the MOPAR Perf PCM.

    Stop me... Or not...

I have a '06 Viper Coupe and an '09 Challenger SRT8 6spd. They are 2 very different cars. The Challenger weighs in at about 4400lbs and while it's fun to drive it's no Viper. I can jam 4 people in it though as long as the back seat ones are short. Even with a ton of mods and I have...

    HELP !!!

Open the hatch, on the drivers side [left side] there's a panel on the floor that's just a little bigger than the footprint of the battery, it has like 6 or 8 screws and they are of the torx variety if they are the stockers, like 30's I think if I remember right. Just lift the carpet and...

    HELP !!!

Since you put this in the SRT10 section I'm going to assume it's a Gen III or Gen IV ... In the trunk on the left side, lift up the carpet. You'll see a panel with a bunch of screws in it that is on the floor. Take out the screws and lift the panel. Viola, battery. HTH --FQB

Gen III to Gen IV Engine Build

I talked to Dan about this exact build about 6 weeks ago. So it was you! I'm going to be watching this build with great interest as it's exactly what I want to do. I have a question though, if you're staying with the JTEC PCM how are you working out going from the wasted spark shared coils...

Dyno Results Stock 2008 SRT-10 Convert

If you have a dyno that's capable of a reverse pull then yes, a dyno can make an actual determination. The rule of thumb and really close most all the time is for rear wheel drive cars 17% for manual and 22% for slush box. +- 2% ... Every one I've ever done was within those specs.

Dyno Results Stock 2008 SRT-10 Convert

Really interesting .. That dyno calculated an 18% driveline loss which is pretty close to the assumed 17% rule of thumb. Did they do a reverse pull or was that just a calculation based on some static constant entered into the system ? Good numbers BTW, congrats !

    new clutch time, any recommandations?

The LUK is an OEM brand and that's what was probably in there from the factory. The LUK is a really good clutch as long as you get the OEM spec'd one.

    04 SRT battery hold down?

There is a small wedge looking piece of material that a bolt goes through and it clamps the bottom of the battery. Notice the small flange and depression on the bottom edge of the battery in that area. Same thing as a 2004 - 2006 [ and probably others ] RAM Truck. Good luck!

    Gen 5 mandated nannies

The "programmers" only do what they are directed to do by their employer. Still goes back to the dirt bags that think they know better about how to run our lives than we do. Big govt asshats that think the nanny state with its nanny tech is best for us. Chuck has it 100% correct.

    PS2's GOING AWAY ???

I have found that usually these types of decisions are based pretty much on $$$. The new vendors are giving them a better deal, simple as that.
