    Trade in value?

Theoretically, you should always be able to get more selling yoursel because the dealer needs to make a profit on the resale. The question is whether that increased sales price offsets the convenience, ability to quickly get your new ride, and the sales tax discount you get for the value of your...

Ometer 8243 Factory Fit NAV/DVD Replacement Stereo Headunit.

Just found out it is about $50 to send back to China, so don't really want to pay to ship it. If someone is handy with electronics and wants to take a shot at getting the audio to quit cutting on and off, shoot me a PM with an offer. I would rather get something for it than just have it sit on...

Glad it is working for many. I just sold my Viper so I no longer need the radio. I plan on still sending it to China and getting a replacement so I can try to recoup some of my money. If anyone is interested in purchasing the replacement I get at a big discount, PM me.

    Mopar ECU Gen IV issues?

I only use 93, which is premium here in Texas. I don't have the ECU yet, but am considering it along with some exhaust mods.

    Mopar ECU Gen IV issues?

Have read every thread I think on this mod and most seem to recommend, but a few mentioned detonation and idle issues. Just curious whether these are rare exceptions or have others had bad experiences with the Mopar ECU?

Yes -- at least this one time to see if I can get one that works for more than two days.

Seller told me that I can ship back to them and they will replace and pay shipment back. Going to give it this one last try before I just give up. Looks like shipping via USPS is relatively inexpensive so worth a shot.

    Forgeline SS3P

Anyone have these? If so, could you post a pic? Went to Forgeline gallery and did not see any Vipers with this style of wheel.

    O2 spacer for Gen IV

Thanks. Have you noticed issues with wires shorting on the Bellangers and can suggest a fix? It is my understanding from other posts that CEL unrelated to wire shorts can be fixed by clearing the code and driving a little more spirited? Do I have that right?

    O2 spacer for Gen IV

Saw this at Viper store. Anyone using this with stock ECU and headers to avoid any CEL? Would this cure the O2 wire shorting issue that some have commented on with the Belanger headers?

Ometer 8243 Factory Fit NAV/DVD Replacement Stereo Headunit.

Have had a few responses so far, but just asking me about wiring connections and whether I reset the unit. I told them all connections are correct, I did reset, and the unit worked for two days before quitting. Told them that I want a replacement. No response to that yet.

Not sure what it is, but pretty sure it is internal to unit. Let me know what you find. Seller responded and mentioned the speaker wire polarity issue. Told seller that is not it. We will see what, if anything, seller will do to correct.

Well, just torn into this again to see if it was just something loose. Bottom line is I think it is something internal. Every time without fail, the audio fails to come on when powered up. I can get the audio to come off and on when wiggling the jack where it connects to the unit. But once...

Yes, the polarity is right. I have the new unit as does Malcoll I believe. I believe Vic has the old style unit, but even he has some experienced some issues. It really sucks because the unit looks so much better than stock and the BT is great (when it works).

Okay, I may need to amend my review now that I have had the unit for a week. The audio is cutting in and out and even when on, there is static coming from the back speakers. Just started happening and my connections are fine. Have e-mailed the seller, but no response yet. Quality may be a...

Window Regulator -GEN 3/4 Archilles Heel

Add me to the list. 09 with 4,500 miles and passenger window needs new regulator. Any tips to lessen the chance of happening again (or at least prolonging it)?

2013 SRT Viper teaser four: one last look before the debut.

The Hot Wheels toy may be right on. Teaser Hood looks like the pic of the toy to me.

Vic -- Just went for a pretty long drive and was streaming music via BT. All audio went dead after about 40 minutes (no Radio or BT). Powered off the unit and audio came back on, but BT would disconnect after about a minute and could only listen to radio. Turned off the car at home and back...

Thanks Vic. Tried all numbers and no go. Only two options screened opened (all 0s and all 1s), but none with a logo change option. I guess this is not available on the new version. Oh well, I can live with the few seconds of the Chrysler logo on start up.

One minor irritation about the new model I got is the start up screen shows "Chrysler." I read Rosco's post about changing it by using some file, but don't want to mess with that so I don't run into the problem he had with the UI reset. Any way to get at least a "Dodge" startup screen just...

Ometer 8243 Factory Fit NAV/DVD Replacement Stereo Headunit.

Just finished the install of the new unit from Ohmeter. Only problem was trying to remove the pins to swap the speaker wires. After about an hour and sore fingers, just cut the wires and spliced them. Fit was perfect -- no need to cut anything -- just had to make sure the two plastic pins...
