Anyone who knows how the power steering cylinder works?

No finally, I have solved it!!! The rod was divided in two parts, with the washer sort of "jammed up" in between.

Anyone who knows how the power steering cylinder works?

I think it´s no big deal to use/shorten the existing one.... IF I only manage to find out how the little rascal is put together/has to be disassembled:D I have attached a picture showing the rod with the washer and sealant. My concern is HOW to move the washer about an inch...

Anyone who knows how the power steering cylinder works?

I´m in the middle of rebuilding an SRT chassi into the chassi for an AC-Cobra replica. Since the Cobra is so much narrower in the front, I have had to make the SRT-frame 3" narrower in the front. Therefore I have to make the power steering cylinder 3" shorter. I have figured out how to shorten...

    5-bolt Hub for Viper

Hi I have started a project in rebuilding an SRT-10 into an AC-Cobra replica. I would really like to put on the "Halibrand Cobra III" wheels on this one (Theese wheels have a 5-bolt 114,3-pattern). The problem is that I don´t have enough space to put on "adapters/spacers" to adapt the Viper...

    Viper hub with 5-bolt pattern?

Treesnake. Can you recommend a store in the US that might be able to help me out in this matter? You see, here in Sweden I´m lucky if I find a store that can supply american carparts. Then the problem is that they normally dont have any american parts in stock, meaning that they dont have a clue...

    Viper hub with 5-bolt pattern?

My god! Tell me more about the beast you are building!!! Will it be a "street legal" car or only for racing?? Stock engine (I don´t think so), or modified?

    Viper hub with 5-bolt pattern?

One more thing, Treesnake... Will this modification give you the same track or will it be wider/narrower after the modification? Have you also modified your Vipers rear wheels/brakes/hubs?

    Viper hub with 5-bolt pattern?

Treesnake. I have planned on using the original SRT-brakes do you know where to search for a 5bolt rotor that will fit? I dont think it´s necessary to put in larger/better brakes since the Cobra will weigh appr. 2/3 of the original SRT-10.

    Viper hub with 5-bolt pattern?

Hey! Now we´re talking!!! Treesnake, what diameter do you have on the rotors?? I guess you have an RT/10? I am building on an SRT... If I recall it right, my RT has 340mm rotors and the SRT has 355mm rotors... Hehe don´t know if you guys are into metric;-)?? Thanks for all help!

    Viper hub with 5-bolt pattern?

To make a long story short... I just love the Viper! I have an 2001 RT/10 that I bought from a guy at this forum. The Cobra project has been something that I have wanted to do for a long time. I live in Sweden (Europe), and over here there is a Cobra replica based on the Corvette which is...

    Strange buzz from rear compartment...

Thanks for the input! My biggest problem was to find the relay. Now when I found it, I saw that the relay was filled with water (drove the car in heavy rain the other day). Once I disconnected the relay the buzz stopped. I will now dissasemble the relay to find out if it´s fixable... Since I...

    Strange buzz from rear compartment...

Today, I took the Viper for a long ride. When I got home I parked "her" on the driveway. When I passed by the car a couple of hours later I heard a strange buzz coming somewhere from the area behind the cokpit (maybe the fuel tank).. It sounds like a pump or a fan... Could it be the fuel pump...
