Help identifying parts around the engine

Well it was going into a 240SX, but worked out to be way too much work. So it's now going into a Nissan Patrol. Should be entertaining :)

Help identifying parts around the engine

Your probably right on the rusty hose, I can connect that to my Brake servo on the car. Pic 3, that pipe comes from the front breather system. I'll try and grab some more pics :)

Help identifying parts around the engine

Yep Gen 1 (4 ribbed inlet). Do you mean the 1st picture? if so that makes sense as I don't see a MAF. As for fuel return, I take it this is governed at the pump end? Cheers Dan :2tu:

Hi Guys Currently fitting a viper engine into another vehicle but just trying to work out where some bits go and what they are for:- What is this and where does it sit? Anyone know what goes onto this rusty pipe/outlet? Where does this hose locate? seems to have a bit of broken...

    Removing Crank Pulley

Cool cheers guys :) Also I'm from England, over here they are known as crank pulley's not balancers ;) I'll strip the rest of the engine down tomorrow, but overall very basic engine not like the Jap ones I'm used to. Cheers Dan :2tu:

    Removing Crank Pulley

well the other parts are simple mechanics, but I didn't know if the balancer was on a thread or keyed in any way. Done a search but got mixed answers :( Other than that it's a very simple engine to work on, got the heads off in 30 mins which is much quicker than any other car I've worked on...

    Removing Crank Pulley

Hi Guys Sorry for the noob question, but how do you remove the crank pulley? is it on a keyway or just push fit? either way best method or removing, 2/3 legged puller? Also I lost a push rod down in the block, any tips of retrieving it bar removing the sump :( Cheers Dan :2tu:

    New V10 owner

So one cam does both heads? that's mad :D fair enough though I'm not arguing  Is the 4 rib intake a better design than the others though? and I also take it only certain models came with them? I'll try and drop you a call later Jon :) Dan :2tu:

    New V10 owner

I'm upgrading to Coilovers, weight won't be an issue. Alot of us upgrade to the Skyline engines, and these only weigh about 50kg less than the viper lump due to their cast iron blocks. I can't see it moaning about the extra 50kg. I will be massively beefing up the engine crossmember and...

    New V10 owner

Yeah the GBP isn't that good at the moment. The main purpose for the viper/Nissan is for drifting. The Nissan is a really good drift car but lacks reliability due to a small 4 pot engine, I'm hoping a 8 litre lump is very unstressed and will be reliable :) I'm currently making headers for it...

    New V10 owner

Hi Guys Thought I would introduce myself, I'm not a new viper owner but I am a new Viper V10 owner. I'm based in England, UK so parts and knowledge isn't that readily available here :( I've basically bought a 8.0 V10 out of a 1993 RT-10 Viper and am installing it into a Nissan 200SX (240SX...
