Driver Side Radiator Hose Bursted :confused:

.(96 RT/10) thankfully I was just leaving work and was still in the parking lot when the main upper Driver side radiator hose bursted. What could of caused it? Any recommendation on durable radiator hose to consider so that this episode won't occurred again? --Coolant started flushing...
