    I find it very ironic...

1000000% AGREE!!! Unless it's a VERY limited production, one off, low production number car and you are buying it as an "investment", enjoy the car. If you like them stock, keep it that way. If want to mod the snot out of it, it's your car. Every custom car I ever built and owned I did for me...

96 GTS out of Wellborn collection up for auction will set the market

The marker shifts due to taste and economic changes. Several years ago late 60s early 70s HEMI cars were top dollar and everyone jumped on that market. The restomod market was flat. Now it's flipped. The car, despite factors we can't control has always had, for a positive, a limited...

    I find it very ironic...

I'm for the total mod it as you love it school. I bought a heavily modified GTS and look at it as; if I had all the money to build this car, would I do it like this? Chances are, you will have some changes to make it "your"car. For the sale price, it would take twice the money to build the car...

My new 97 GTS and the first changes

Thanks! Yes I did a LOT of research on how to do the wheels right so it didn't look like a 19 year old with a Civic did them lol! It actually wasn't difficult if you follow the directions and suggestions made by the website. I've modified lots of cars over the years and always try and do 99%...

My new 97 GTS and the first changes

Yea..this was run at the 1/4 quite a bit...was a 10.8 car with a pretty high DA. Right now I'm keeping it on the street for now (except it's now winter). I may bring it to Lime Rock in the future but by then I hope to have a set of wheels and tires. For the immediate future it's just learning...

My new 97 GTS and the first changes

I know is a strange setup...I was told it will help with over steer... I'm hoping to get a set of aftermarkets or maybe some Sidewinder IIs in hyper black.

    Debating a repaint

Prior to my Viper I've done a few custom color changes on previous cars, just because I wanted the car "that" color. My full custom SRT Charger was actually done in the GM Cyber Grey Metallic. It's your car, as stated above, as long as you don't put DONKS on it and paint it like Sponge Bob, have...

My new 97 GTS and the first changes

New from CT...Well now that I've had the car for oh, about 3 weeks...time to start making it my own. As the motor, trans, interior are very much done, I started with some cosmetics. This car was built by JackB and is a BEAST! The CCW wheels were in pretty rough shape around the edges. Now I...
