Bought mine in 2018 with 85k miles. It wasn't in the greatest shape but It was the dream and got it for a great deal.
I've discovered its really easy to work on, and this community is a great resource for alternative parts and DIY. Everything that has been done, I've done it except mounting...
I was factoring in that a modified RT\10 would turn a lot of buyers away including myself. Hence why I mentioned the price I did.
Just my opinion, not trying to ruffle feathers.
Anyone with a Cricut hobby cutter should be able to do this. They would just need to get the correct color vinyl and have a picture of the decal to cut.
I have cut several vinyl stickers with our Cricut, I would not say it would be OEM quality, but I could probably live with a decal that is...
I believe he was invited to attend the RoadKill Nights drag event.
As part of this You are given an engine from Dodge, and build a car utilizing that engine/drivetrain. Why he decided to do this with his really solid ACR is beyond me.
If I were to ever do this with my GTS, I would do...
I used to be a fan of his and really enjoyed some of his DIY videos of him working on his Gen 2.
Now that his Viper is not really a Viper anymore, I feel like you do Saint.
Yes sir, under cruising sits at 180. Like said above overall the engine runs cooler, It acts normal under heavy load, but overall runs at 180 when there is plenty of airflow.

I'm not in your situation as my pump is good at the moment, but I'm looking into seeing what is involved with taking the guts from a Gen 1 pump, and putting it into a gen 2 pump.
Hope this helps.
Good luck with getting 93 going. Been a follower of yours for a few years. Love what you're doing with the 97.
My 96 is approaching 100k so its good to see fellow high milers that still look and run well.
I've rebuilt The Viper's T56 and my Corvette's T56. Let me know if you have any questions.
Got 60K on the Corvette's rebuild with no issues.
You will need a shop press for the new bearings. A pair of C-clip pliers is another must.
I've been using dexcool in mine for over 6 years. change it every 2 years. Its essentially Mopar orange, even says it works with newer Dodges on the bottle.
Get some cometic aluminum core gaskets. No need for RTV.
Now's a good time to try something. I have thought about purchasing a Gen 1 pump with metal impeller and pressing out the impeller and bearings to "rebuild" my Gen 2 pump.
Anyone ever done this and been successful?
I've got my old gen 2 pump, so I may give this a shot.
So you could buy a IPSCO power steering pully, or do like I did and get this one:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8439712&cc=1314713&pt=7381&jsn=615
the pulley is all metal and less than $20. Seemed like a good value to me.
So I run Prestone Dexcool in mine and have for the last 6...
I've used the Mobil 1 filter multiple times. Rock Auto has them for around $9 each
I wouldn't be too concerned with any high quality filter, Wix, Bosch, K&N.
Agree, avoid Fram for sure, I even avoid their "top tier" filters.
Alternative question, but could be relevant here.
Opinion on screw type clamps vs constant tension clamps (spring) clamps?
I bought new screw type when I replaced hoses, but ended up installing the tension clamps after a couple of weeks. I like the tension clamps better IMO.
For what its worth I use Syncromesh MT fluid in 3 of my Manual cars, 2 T56's and the S2000.
S2000 has 197k
C5Z has 145k
Viper has 97k
I did have to do rebuilds on the T56's and used syncromesh after the rebuilds. I bought the cars used and have been running them with Sycnromesh under my...
Mine always does this during stop and go, not in motion running. The Fans come on and it never goes above, but it goes to that spot and then comes down when I get moving.
It has done it like this since I've owned it and I've replaced the entire cooling system as maint. I would consider it...
Bottoming out sounds interesting. Did a fastener puncture the bumper reservoir? Could it draw air into the system once the tank is empty?
I've heard of the bumper tank getting punctured by the front bumper by scrapes on the front bumper.
Just a thought.
