a/c...is this info correct???

I read a disturbing post (and replies) yesterday. It basically talked about the three a/c outlets in the upper dash NOT having any directional adjustment. Did I read this correctly??? You mean the vents are in a fixed position??? I remember a dealer pointing out the vents on a '04 and saying that not only did it finally have vents on the outside ends of the dash, but that they were now adjustable. I kinda ignored that last part of the statement...just couldn't imaging outlets that didn't move.

This is very sad news. If the statement is correct, anyone here find a way of changing them...like installing moveable vents?

Mine are adjustable....but I have a VERY special 97 GTS and is likely the only one with moveable vents.


JK!!! They all adjust as far as I know. Now...the lower ones are just holes.

Whoaaaaaa...I really missed something here! LOWER ONES??? I was only aware of three rectangular vents across the top. Maybe that post was referring to these "holes" and then I didn't read "bad news" afterall.

Yes, the infamous "crotch vents" are not adjustable, at least on my car. But the upper ones on the dashboard are adjustable in both directions.
