I am hoping that I can get a bit of advice on this peculiar issue. Went for a drive yesterday and A/C was functioning perfectly. After lunch the A/C wouldn't blow out of the dash vents or the holes under the dash. It would only blow out of the defroster vents under the windshield no matter what setting the knob was in. Thank goodness that the knob still turned on the A/C otherwise we would have melted in the 95 degrees temp. Is this a mechanical linkage issue or something else? Thank you in advance.

Check the little Vacuum hose going from right-hand Intake manifold through firewall.
If it is still intact and is not damaged and didn’t come unplugged from the manifold, then the problem may be the Climate control, or the vac line became unplugged in the das behind the climate control.

As stated above, on the right side of the Engine (passengers side) the control's are sourced from there. Check the hose(s)
