A\\F Ratio on Paxton car?

My 2000 viper which has a unichip installed, a paxton 8 lb pully and other goodies is showing 12.2:1 A\F wise. Is this acceptable, or should I lower it? The engine has CP Forged pistons, carillo rods, forged crank, balenced, and was built by Heffner.
Thanks.

12.2 is a good A/F ratio, should be more than safe. Ask one of the tuners for sure.

Re: A\\F Ratio on Paxton car?

From what I have read, 12.2 is good for power with an SC, but most boosted applications seem to be run around 11.5 to provide more safety margin against detonation if heat or poor gas conspire against you and some go even as rich as 10.5. If this is a Heffner install, you probably should be asking him since he knows his setup the best.

BTW, I didn't know that you could chip a Viper.

Re: A\\F Ratio on Paxton car?

It's piggy back chip. The bottom end was built by heffner, he did not install the SC or the top end.
Thanks for the info. The car hauls ass right now, but I would rather be safe then sorry. I think 11.5v seems the best. I'll see if the unchip tuner can get that out of it.
