My ACR has been in "I" status for almost 6 weeks now and I just
heard ACR's seem to be on hold at CAAP. I have heard of several
that have been built but are "stuck" in "I" status (finished and
waiting to clear final inspection) Has anyone heard anything about this or is there someone I could call to get details?
Thanks for any help,
Steve

Didn't you post a little while ago about this very subject and were told by reliable sources (Bill Pemberton and JonB) that the AVERAGE time in I status is 42 days. So, you're at 42 days. I know this is frustrating, but has anything changed? Has your dealer called for additional info? It doesn't appear that ACRs are on hold if you are at Final Inspection - that should mean the car is assembled just may need "tweaking" - polishing, adjusting, etc. NOT waiting on parts.

I know its frustrating, but hang in there.

Janni,

Someone clarified Jon B's post the 42 days was from start to finish. My dealer has called for additional details as he has recieved several other Vipers that he placed orders for at the same time or even later. I have heard of several ACR's in final inspection that aren't being shipped. This will be my third Viper
so I am aware of what goes into them. With all the problems at DC
this is very discouraging!

Steve,

I know it's a pain. You are really excited about getting the car but it gets delayed. Same thing happened to me with my GTS because the hoods on some did not fit right. Not to worry, it will eventually end up at your door step and the world will be right again.

As of a few days ago, there were 3 ACRs outside of the shipping room. Two had no hoods and one was in the buff/polish area. My guess is that if yours hasn't proceeded to "finished", it is one of the two with no hood- I am only guessing, but I assume they are waiting for two hoods in the right color

greg,

Yes I just picked up my Yellow Z06 last weekend. Now that it has
500 miles on it I am getting on it a little. The car truly has the torque feel of the Vipers I have had but is more refined. I am not thrilled with the style of the car, but it drives like your on an out of control rocket. It has torque to spare through
at least 5 gears. I am going out and toying with a friend of mine that has a twin turbo 911 tomarrow. Should be interesting!
Regards,
steve
