I know there have been many posts on this, but none explained what this peice is made of. It doesnt feel like glass, it may be some other material, who knows. Anyways, I have scuff marks all over mine. In the center, on the sides; it really looks beat. I tinted the glass with 20% and they still show through. I had hoped that maybe some of the scratches/scuffs would be less noticeable with the tint. No such luck. In fact, it almost makes them stand out more because in some lighting the tint has a mirror effect and shows the flat spots.
Is there any way to re-finished the glass?? Buff it out?? Polish?? Do I even have options? I have never had "real" glass scratch like that. I really have no experience with this kind of stuff.

Also, I read in some previous posts that some of you guys were contemplating making your own windows with an OEM as a base, any such luck?? I may be interested.

THANKS for any input!!!!!!!!!!!

Go to a glass shop and get them to cut you some DOT to the same length. Dodge does not have a PN for the rubber gasket around the window (which has a tendency to crack over time) but there are alternatives out there.

Plexi works real well too, easier to deal with IMHO for people who R&R the glass a bunch.

I've got an extra from a Gen2 RT/10 that is unblemished if anyone is interested in it. Haven't gotten around to looking into what they're worth, but I'd make a deal under retail.
