Get a friend to help with the beer and moving the rear end around to get it out. It is a bit like a puzzle. You turn it the right way and it almost falls out. And then you say "how did that happen"? Just be sure to get the axles seated when you put it back together. If you are working on the floor, no lift, you can pre-fill the rear end before you put it back in. Just remember to use the additive.
I had my diff serviced in my 2008 last week before running Texas Mile and the tech told me he put two cans of additive in to make sure it did not chatter any more at tight turns......
