I spoke to Arrow Racing today about my rebuild (in my SRT Truck). The newly rebuilt stock motor made 569 hp @ 5,500 and 592 ft-lbs torque at 4,200. I should have the engine back next week. Even though this is going in my truck, thought you guys might want to know what kind of power the rebuilt SRT-10 motor makes. My truck has Mopar Header so it might pickup a few hp over that....but I will be suffering from altitude sickness here in Colorado. At least it is nice to know what it made without drivetrain and altitude loss.

Wow, great HP numbers. Unfortunately you had to suffer a catastophic engine failure and weeks of not having any use of your truck to receive the benefit.

Thanks...it has been months (3 in fact...motor let go on April 1)....but who cares, I will get it back soon. I can at least drive the truck later into the seasons than the vert.

Oh and it will be pretty too. I am having a bunch of the parts powder coated by a place called JMB (guys name is Justin). I will post pictures when it is reassembled and installed.

So who ended up paying for the rebuild? Sounds like if Arrow did it instead of a local shop or tuner, you might have gotten it covered under warranty?

PM me if you want to keep it on the DL.

excellent. Good luck with it, sounds like its going to be a beast !!

Jon

PS. Hope this doesnt push premiums up for ya, Vipers and trucks with Viper engines are expensive enough to insure already :)

Not sure if it will, but it is a comprehensive claim. That usually doesn't increase premiums as it was unavoidable and a no-fault; frankly I didn't know anything happened until the engine went boom.
