Will this work for winter storage:

Keeps battery fully charged in stored vehicles
Automatically switches between charging mode and float mode monitoring

For 12 volt LEAD ACID BATTERY TYPES

I have only used the Battery Tender brand with great success for 10 years.
I wouldn't use anything else
