Question of how battery tenders are typically connected

I purchased and brought home my Gen IV in April of this year. Since then I have been driving it at least one day a week. I know at some point it will sit for more than a couple weeks at a time. What is the best way to connect the battery tender since the battery is located in back of the vehicle.

Do you pull the panel off above the battery when your tender is connected? Do you put a pigtail on it for quick plug in? Do you run the chord out the back? What about when the cover is on?

Thanks for recommendations in advance!

Pigtail, just use the tail cover and tuck it in the back. I never take the cover off to charge.

Unless you have a parasitic draw you should be able to let it sit for several weeks without any issue - mine just sat for 6 weeks and fired right up
