Cat Removal

I've heard many different opinions about what happens to fuel management when the cats are removed, and the differences between the 97 and 98 and up models.

I have a 97 GTS ...... can anyone tell me with certainty what will happen if I remove the cats? Thanks.

I have done cat removeal on 99 and 97 cars with no service engine soon lights. On a 96 or newer rear exit car you will pick up approximately 15 hp with cat removal. I wouls also suggest you us a Mopar computer as it eliminates the rear O2 sensors.

This does not mean I recommend Converter removal. I personally feel Converters should be left on. Extra hp can be gained other ways while still protecting the environment.


B&B cat back cuts the cats in half still makeing it legal and making it possible to pass emmission tests.
