what should i expect to pay to have put on? when you wash/wax the car, over time, does it look "funny" since the part covered isn't getting cleaned or waxed? how long will it last? anything i should know or think about before having it done?
thanks in advance for the input.

I have owned my viper for three days so I cant give you much long term info,I was told that it wears well and can last 5-7 years depending on application.I could be off though as I was taking delivery of an 01 sapphire coupe when they were telling me about it LOL.It looks great and is not that noticeable.Nose bra & behind each wheel was 730.00.On the drive home I had a rock peg the nose and it didn't affect the paint.I can't believe I didn't have it done before!

I've had mine done for a month. Front fascia, hood (about 2 ft.), fenders, mirrors and behind each wheel. Cost me $480.00. On a black car I notice a few bubbles from inches away, but that's it. I can now drive it without the worry of rockchips.

One year + with Clear Bra- looks still fantastic. Oh and you wax the bra'd area just like you would the rest of the car.

Got the bra on day 2 of ownership was $1200 installed.

So...who sells and installs these things? Should I start at my local Dodge dealer or maybe a custom paint shop or a detailing place or where?

"Yelloh", Rich, has them on his car and when it has been in my shop on the lift I had time to look it over. The first time in my shop it looked great though you could see the edges of the plastic. The last time was worst. Around the edges there was dirt that got caught on the adhesive at the edge of each piece of clear shield. I did not like the way it looked on his yellow car but Rick did not seem to mind. On a dark Viper this would not be an issue.

I have this on ALL my cars now, including my current and former Viper. Cost varies (SUVs are more), but I had 3M put on my Viper for $550. It was about $450 for my Lexus. 3M has a lifetime warranty. I used Ultrashield in Phoenix.

After a wax, you can see the line until you get all the wax out of the clear bra edge. Beats the hell out of rock chips!
