Just test drove a 2001 today. With the top off, everything was fine in the headroom department (go figure), but even when I had the pedals dialed all the way back, due to the forward position of the clutch with respect to the other pedals, my shin rubbed the dash under the vent. With the pedal depressed, it wasn't an issue.

Is there a way to have the clutch pedal adjusted back about 1.5" inches or more? (after dialing the pedals back all the way)

Also, with the hardtop on, I was a little too close to the ceiling for good vision, but my head didn't rub the top at least. Is that 2" kit enough of a lowering for comfort? Are my legs still going to have room even though the angle is different? I realize this may be hard to judge, but I can't exactly ask the dealer to let me put the seat adjustment kit in the car before I test drive it.

Oh, one other thing I forgot to ask. I checked the seat lowering kit from Northwind, but it says it's for model years up to '97. Is there a kit for a 2001?

The seat lowering kit from Northwind will fit. I installed one in my '00 GTS. It's a bit of a chore, but worth the effort. I also installed Sean Roe's clutch pedal linkage. I'm 6'4" and fit GREAT now. I can even fit with a helmet! You do loose the adjustment, which my wife was a bit preturbed about.

The RT/10 and GTS are different, though. I think the top of the RT/10 windshield is lower than the GTS. You'll find that some tall folks remove the visors for better visibility. You may want to look at a GTS for a better fit.
