Coupe Hatch Release

Is a key to the trunk lock the only way to open the glass hatch on my 2001 GTS or is there some other type of release (i.e.- a button or lever) inside the cab?
If so, where is it located?

There is a release lever just inside the drivers door.It is just foward of the seat on the left side of the floor.

Wow, it's on the driver's side floor, next to the door sill. Under the mat? Did you just get this thing?

Yeah, I guess those mats are made for the R/T, which doesn't have the hatch release. It sort of annoys me that my $90k car doesn't come with mats, and the ones you buy aren't even made for it! Thank you Dodge!

All GTSs had them....................Just kidding but made you think.the pull cable system started in 99.Although it is a fairly simple procedure to install electric push button release.
