DC extended warranty

Can you buy an D-C extended warranty on a Viper with expired coverage? (I am looking at a low mileage '99 ACR) Thanks

I believe the coverage must be current in order to extend it.

not true..has to do with how old the car is..I think it can't be more than 7 yrs old.

Adam is correct. You do not have to have an existing warranty.

I was told by Chuck this morning that Chrysler will not honor new warranties or extensions after Nov 1st unless it is in conjunction with a sale of the vehicle. In other words, I can't extend my soon to expire 7/70 warranty and have any confidence it will be honored some time down the road if I need it.Has anyone else heard this and have any suggestions. I don't want to buy something that won't be honored when I need it.

I think it has to be with in 48 months of the original "in service" date.
