dead cig lighter

Tried plugging a radar detector into the cig lighter today and... nothing. So I tried the cig lighter itself and it didn't get hot at all. Is this a simple thing to have fixed?

Check your fuses. If that looks okay, check the wiring behind the cig lighter. There were others that had one of the wires come loose back there.

PROBABLY JUST A BLOWN FUSE. POP OFF THE ENCLOSURE THAT HOUSES THE HEAD UNIT AND MAKE SURE IT'S TOTALLY PLUGGED IN. YOU MAY HAVE TO HAVE IT REPLACED.

Take out the lighter socket and check the ground connection. That's where mine was not making a good connection.
