Engine Cooling Temperature

I have a 2002 GTS. Does anyone know at what temparuture does the engine colling fan turns on? It seems that is taking too long for my cooling fan to turn on automatically. My temparature gauge is reading past the third mark on the 190 degree side before it turns on.

It should come on at 210F if you have a scanner with data info you can see temp. when the fans come on or you can use temp. gun to see.

It sounds like mine turns on at about the same place. THe left side of the needle will just pass the third line then it turns on. It goes off slightly below the middle mark. Does this help?

My DIY on my triple fan install has a lot of gauge reading info in it. Posted at VA.

Thanks for the help. For some reason I was never use to it seeing the gauge reading past the third mark before. I guess i will put the scanner on and test to see if the fan does turn on at 210F?

Now, is there a way to get the fan to turn on before this temperature and also to let it run for a bit after the engine turns off?

I use this on my 2001 viper...it cycles the fan on and off a few times after the engine is turned off...

I have an SCT tune from DC Performance? Will that be able to work on the Gen 2 PCM?
