I managed to dodge (pun intended) the rain this morning and take in the Barrett-Jasckson auto auction (I live 2-3 miles away). As soon as you walk in the front door you look right and BAM there is the new Viper Coupe. For those of you who have not had the pleasure, I can tell you that it is tremendously better looking in person. The rear end styling plain works when you walk around the car. As many have said before, even if that new bowtie car is fast, when you pull up next to one in the new Coupe that tacky fender flared Chevy will be - as the kids say - owned. There was a regular SRT-10 there (along with quad-cab Viper truck) and I have to say I really like the silver on the Coupe dashboard compared to the all black dash in the rag top. I ran into Eddie Martin our premier Viper tech in town and he says his dealer already has 22 orders for the new Coupe. I don't have the money so I would never buy a new Coupe, but for all you guys who don't like the pictures and have not yet seen the car in person, don't be worried, the new Coupe is a great looking car.
The Arizona Viper Club guys had an event at the auction today, so I am sure they can add some more comments when they make it home.
