I finally got the flow numbers back from the stock GTS-R/CNC ported heads.

This next plot shows the GTS-R heads vs. stock viper heads.

These are stock CNC ported and I can see they were optimized for high cam lift flow.

I should have my car back together in the next month but will have to wait for warm weather to go to the dyno. I will keep everyone posted on the results.

Thanks a lot !! I was wondering if I should go with GTS-R heads over a set of stock port&polish heads. Seems like the GTS-R head(out of the box) doesnt give anything over stock heads until at after .40 valve lift

2002 Viper,

For the coin, a good set of polished stock heads might be the way to go. I was actually disappointed that the mid-range flow wasn't higher.

Yeah, me 2. I was hoping the GTS-R's would kick *** outta the box, aka = ported stock heads, and THEN when I wanted even MORE flow/power, I would have them port and polished.

I am not knocking the GTS-R heads, its just obvious that they NEED the port and polish to beat a good set of stock heads that have been worked.

The GTSR castings have a lot of potential for power. In GTSR ported form the are great for a 7200rpm engine, with some work the low lift numbers can be improved quite a bit for a street motor.
