Hello everyone,

I am new here and have acquired a 2001 RT/10; I am very excited about the car it only has 15k miles and a few of the common mods (smooth intake tubes, 3.55 gear, belanger headers, etc.)

I recently saw another GTS that had a lot more work done to it including optimized heads, cam, etc. Not only did it run well but it had an incredible sound (more lopey cam…)

Made me think of the possibilities on my new car. Definitely want to stay NA but thinking of some of those possibilities…

I have used the search here and everything points in the direction of Greg Good for head work. I assume he would be the one to ask for cam as well… Presumably also a T&D shaft mount rocker system.

A key question I have is who could also do the tuning. I assume with all those changes you need someone who can remap the ECU…

Any specific recommendations on these mods? I also ask because many of the threads I found were 10-15 years old. So maybe there are some new ideas when it comes to these things…

Thank you in advance and I am glad to be part of your forum…

Hey Charlie,
Congratulations on the Purchase! Sounds like you've got a good start on the engine mods with just the purchase. The headers and rear end are the most noticeable seat of the pants mods.

Wanted to ping you as I figured you've been ghosted by the forum-

I actually have what I think are going to be the last set of heads and intake that Greg Good will do for these cars. Not because there isn't a need, but he has way more work with newer builds that generate him more income than the big V-10's we have. Not to mention that parts are becoming challenging. I commissioned Greg just shy of a year ago for the build, knowing the timeline turn to receive the parts.

On my end things have changed and I'm actually on the fence about performing the swap.
As such if your interested, I'd be happy to discuss what Greg has done and $ amount for the parts. DM me and we can talk thru the details.

I expect parts will be ready to ship in a week or so, not to hustle you but Greg is in the middle of the US, I'm out West so saving some coin on freight may be of interest to you-

Tuning should be pretty straightforward now that HP Tuners supports gen 2 vipers. Find any good performance shop with a dyno. Could also do a remote tune - Unleashed Performance did mine before I headed to the dyno and it was pretty good after a few drives.

Jeff Morys used to make performance heads too. He doesn't do it anymore but they were the best set of heads you can find for Vipers.

I sell CnC ported heads. Gen 1, 2, and 3s. Most like to do Gen 3s because they flow best with minimal cost. You can still use your intake or just upgrade to a Gen 3 intake. ARH headers can be used on either Gen 2 or Gen3s and I am selling a used set. Here are pics of the Gen 2 and Gen 3 set of heads.
