My wife and I were in an accident last October after getting caught in a heavy downpour. We hit standing water on the expressway and spun out three times finally hitting cable barriers in the median. Fortunately, we were not injured (kudos to the engineers that designed the Gen I). The car on the other hand, was torn up badly with the exception of the passenger door and mirror. The insurance company totaled the car due to the excessive body damage. I received the "agreed value insurance" and purchased the car back from the insurance company. I spent the last several months rebuilding the car in my garage from the frame up with replacement body parts. Just got the car back on the road two weeks ago looking better than before the accident. A friendly reminder to all of you that these cars and wide tires are not conducive to foul weather. All is well that ends well:headbang:

Congrats. I'm sure it felt awesome getting it back on the road.

Good to see that there are people who do not give up, stick it out and rebuild the car back to former glory :2tu:
