GEN II bumper on GEN I... Foglamps?

Guy around here wants to swap the front bumper on his '96 RT/10 to the GEN II style.
He got a '99 one but can't fit the headlamps into it... Never knew they were different... Any suggestions?? Or does he have to buy new ones?

they are different housings..need to match..

gen2 foglamps are Volkswagon Polo, Nadine matched the numbers at a VW breakers and got a spare set for £30
