I am trying to figure out what year to get, a 1999 rt/10 or an 03 srt. the reason i am posting this i the gen I/II forum is that I want to know if the hard top fits in the trunk or is that why some people have a soft top? I'm sure I will be going on a few trips with the car and I want to have the option of the top of no top.

also if anyone can tell me what a cream puff is, i'd greatly appreciate it. :)

The stock hardtop is excellent at sealing and keeping the noise down, but it's really heavy and doesn't fit in the trunk. I got a top that will fit in the trunk (The quality is average) and it doesn't do that great at really high speeds. I just basically use it for emergencies (caught in a storm) when it comes in handy. However, the model I got from Jeff was just in it's early stages. Jeff is making a new model of trunktop now that I believe is much higher quality and might be a good choice. http://www.trunktop.citymaker.com/page/page/1012985.htm

"Cream puff cars" are 2000-2002 Vipers. They have cast pistons instead of forged, and don't have the "lumpy" cam.. If you are planning on doing a lot of mods the non-cream puffs generally respond much better (Especially a supercharger).

I'd personally go with the 99 RT/10 based totally on the styling alone. However, if you're all about performance, the SRT-10 will outperform it.
