Mid-America sells such a system for removable hardtops on older Corvettes. www.madvette.com. Eckler's also, I think. www.ecklers.com.

Let me know how well the Fritzi hoist works with the flat Viper top. It is certainly an interesting idea. I'd still be a little concerned about the top dangling above my Viper though.
