head gaskets

What is the max. that is suggested for the torque of the head bolts. I know the book calls for 30lbs. plus a qtr turn....
Also are these specs. messured at what air temp?

For you guys who have had the head gasket problem. How much water was leaking before you changed the gaskets? Also was it leaking outside the block or going into the cylinder/oil pan?
