Headers with stock cats?

You'd probably be the first to try that particular experiment, so you're unlikely to get a hard answer. From inspection, the high-flow cats are probably going to flow better, especially over time when the stock cats start accumulating deposits. For $260 a pair, high-flow 3" cats are a cheap mod which pick up 9 HP and 11 ft/lbs across the powerband -- see my recent post in "performance mods" for details.

I have the same setup the TRI-Y with stock converters 3". I just purchased the HI-FLOWS from ROE-RACING, because the stock cats hold back a lot of horse power. SO DO WHAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE! Bye the HI-FLOWS $240 for the pair, and save yourself time and money.

Got the same setup (see sig. below), I got my bullet cats from JonB at Parts Rack, a little more expensive $375 pair, but they allow twice the flow, probably work best at WOT.
