What's the best battery for a viper. I've had two mopar batteries, they only last about two years. I did use a battery tender this winter during storage, but it still wont hold a charge very long.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Optima battery (be careful about the replacement size, some don't fit the compartment properly, if I remember right). We bought our '94 2 1/2 years ago, I use a battery tender through the winter, and (knock on wood), we are still on the same battery with no problems. I believe it is a Mopar battery. What am I doing that is different than a lot of other guys who can't keep a battery for more than 2 years, some a lot less? I know I don't turn on the alarm system very much, if at all, (one of the benefits of living in a small town).
