Everything has been fine in the past and then I get into the car last night for a drive. Idle with the clutch in and all is fine. Once I let the clutch out, the car dies. Did this several times, with the same result.

I then took it around the block. Everything is fine until I let the clutch fully out, then it just wants to die. Thought it may be the safety switch off the clutch petal??(is this only tied to starting the car??)

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Craig,

It cuts the spark/fuel when I let the cluth out all the way. If the car is idleing with the clutch in, it simply dies if I let out the clutch within a couple of seconds!

Sounds like your clutch pedal may be coming in contact with a bare wire
under the dash and its shorting out when you let the clutch out.

Hmm, very strange. I had a car come in once with a similar problem and found an 02 sensor connector and wiring shorting when the car was moved, although a heater circuit fuse would blow. I wonder if you have a ground wire that has worked it's way loose over time and when the motor moves the ground goes away. Interesting to say the least...Let us know what you find.
