I went with the RB4 because 1) more power @72 watts, 2) made by Harmon = better sound, I hope, 3) I like the way it looks better ... I don't care the the RB4 GPS doesn't show a map, because I won't have time to stare at a tiny GPS map in the glare of the sun while driving my top-down Viper ...

Wow, I know it's an interchangeable unit, and I even asked the exact question before I bought mine (take off out of a Chrysler something or other) and was told that the radio will detect from the PCM which DC product it is installed in and display the appropriate logo on startup.

Mine actually does show the Dodge logo on startup.

If anyone's interested, I have the XM radio adapter for the RB1. It worked well, but I installed it and only drove the car twice in like three months and turned the radio on once, so I cancelled the service and am removing the XM adapter. Going to sell it cheap for anyone who wants it.
