What would be the optimal humidity level in a garage for a garaged Viper?I usually heat the garage in winter to around 50 degrees but I could also control the humidity. Also, has anyone used dessicants inside the car to lower mositure as is done in a boat interior when it is closed up? Thanks, Bruce

I can't help you on what the optimal humidity level should be, but this is what I have seen posted on storage for the winter. Thick plastic sheet under the vehicle to keep the moisture from rising up into the vehicle. Dessicant packs inside. Rat poison packs on top of tires (risky if you have kids).

I did some digging and in answer to my own question.Exotic or classic car storage places seem to be keeping humidity at 55 or 50%.Lower than that dries out wood and leathers.Higher than that and you get rust mold etc. Bruce
