I need tires!!

Hello all,
I need to buy a pair of rears for my snake. I dont want to be a cheap ass but saving $$$ is good...
What would you buy??. I just do some spirited twisty driving and maybe a track day or 2 a year at most...
Are Goodyear Eagle GSA's any good??

I thought Khumo's were some of the best for sticky tires? Thats what I plan on buying, when these crappy Pilots wear out. I'm a straight shooter though.....don't really care too much for the twisties. The price is right too.

I will need a new set of tires this spring and Costco said they could get the pilot sports delivered to their warehouse for $352 per rear. That is the same price as tirerack but the costco price includes shipping.

Don't you guys have Discount Tire or Americas tire company up there ? They will always meet or beat prices they can verify.

kuhmo's work real good, and are sticky, but I doubt I will see 3k miles out of them.

past experience with goodyears, not so good. may price cheap, but just not well designed(although I haven't tried the 335/35s)

I too could not swallow the price of pilots, so just cheaped out on the kuhmo's figuring that sticky tires would keep me out of trouble and it doesn't seem to hurt at their price, although I will use more sets.

pilot sports...good and last a lot longer than the kumhos. For what your doing...just my 2 cents.

Why only 3k...Are they that soft, or are you running on the track alot??

with 500 miles you can see a noticeable wear. I have had the car down the 1/4 just a few times with a light burnount. I do like to push the car, but mostly normal street driving. As others have said, you can constantly hear the tires picking up sand/pebbles and slinging them underneath. I could be wrong about the 3k miles, just seems like they are going fast.

Check our alignment! I had the Kumhos on my 96 and still had a lot of tread 4000 miles later. Did you buy them shaved?
