im getting sick and tired of seeing vipers on corvette chaissis

Listen you can go on e-bay and find vipers but some of them are replicas.THe bad thing about them is that there on a corvette chassis and eninge which in a V-8!!!!yuck!!!

I think it's flattering, and I don't mind too much. To put it in perspective, what would you be feeling if you owned an original AC Cobra with literally tens of thousands of imposters on the road?

You don't see anyone making kit car corvettes, hondas, Lexus's, or Porsches, etc, etc. Why? Because no one wants them. We have a car that many people desire, and few can afford. Along with kit car lamborghinis, ferraris, etc.., I think the Viper is in good company.

What I don't like about the Viper kit cars (or any kit cars for that matter) is that it can give the car a bad rap. Think about a camaro killing a Viper kit car. Poor quality paint job. Wrong skinny rims/tires etc. Others seeing this Viper kit car and not knowing that it's actually not a Viper, will think Vipers are a POS.

This is my first post and only my two cents worth, but the car your refering to on ebay is (I beleive) one of five copies made before being stopped by Chrysler. You can also see that same car on the autotrader site. Way over priced too!

Chrysler stops that to prevent damage to the value of its "trademarked" design, I seem to recall Ferrari doing something about the kits for the Fiero to copy Ferrari?

I would never want to own a kit car. What's the point? I know of a guy who has spent nearly $80,000 on a Countach kit car. For that amount of money he could almost purchase a real Countach.
