Insurance / registration / driving it home?

If you bought the car from a dealer, they will give you paper tags good for 30 days......otherwise, all you need is a bill of sale and insurance info.....I usually take a plate off of another car and install it just to look better...if you get stopped, the signed title, bill of sale and insurance info should be all you need.....they understand you can't title the car till you get it home.....have a safe trip and don't worry about it....

States issue a "one way" plate/sticker for the window or temp registration for a nominal fee. makes it legal but the terms vary from state to state like how many days it's good for, etc. If buying from a dealer they will have the form or contact the dmv directly
